Hi David,

We built our layout using ScaleTrax exclusively and highly recommend it. Be sure to 'tune up' the switches per Ted's guidelines before installing them on the layout and you should be most happy with it.

To me, Scaletrax is the most realistic and its low profile enhances the visual massiveness of your equipment.

Actually, it is my brother Dave who is the Scaletrax switch tune up guru.

Dave authored an article on working with Scalterax that appeared in OGR Run 251.

Dave has also given clinics on working with ScaleTrax at the last several York shows.  The eastern division of the TCA would not allow us to make a video of a ScaleTrax clinic in the orange hall (we asked, they said no).  To overcome that problem Dave and I went to the MTH headquarters outside of Baltimore last month and shot a video on working with Scaletrax in their studio.  Hopefully MTH will have that video edited and placed on their web site soon.
