need help working with steel rail code 148?

New Haven Trolleys/ NH RROGR Forum Member

I decided top add an 18' passing siding to my main line and discovered when I contacted Right-of Way that he is out of stock and can't get the rail anymore. Also tried Micro Engineering and they do not carry code 148.

I plan to use individual rail and wooden ties and will be making both switches. Its been over 50 years since I worked with steel rail and I'm out of touch with the materials used to bond steel/ Appreciate any thoughts.
