Thanks to all that sent suggestions regarding the new layout we are building when we move to our larger space next month.
Michael Tylick, that does designs under the name RailDesign Services, completed this plan for us in about a week and we are very excited by his suggestions. The finished layout will be 30' by 60' and will be a large island with a single wall on the right, or north end, for all of our building backdrops.
We are planning to add an elevated city scene similar to Rich Batista's with the EL line also on the right or north end.
The layout as planned will be in three levels, with a three track mainline on level one. I am also planning to add a couple of smaller loops of track as a fourth level below level 1 that pop out on straights on both sides of the bottom peninsula for testing and programming engines - though it will be sceniced as well.
