Could not find my thread after change to new forum, but wanted to give all those who helped a chance to see what I ended up with.

Trainroom Final

I run passenger trains on outer loop and switchers on the inner loop.

Typically I have a MTH MP15 on siding 2 with Moe and Joe lumber car and operating barrel car hooked up. A log dump car is staged

on siding 1. The train pulls out and loops around counter clockwise to the log loader and picks up a load of logs. We then loop around

and take the switched path to the sawmill and deliver the logs. After sawing logs we loop back around to siding 1 and drop off the

log dump car. We then return to the sawmill and load the Moe & Joe car with lumber. The train then proceeds around the layout and

backs into siding 2.  The lumber is dropped off and the barrel car loaded at this time. We then pull out to deliver the barrels to the

K-Line dump bin next to the log loader. I plan on putting a brewery next to that dump bin. The train is then returned to siding 2

to end that operating session.  The kids have a lot of fun with all the operating accessories, although sometimes we just run trains

on the loops picking up and dropping off Lego figures at various spots. I have switches and buttons installed around the layout so the

kids can operate the gas station, sawmill, log loader and barrel loader. I can also operate them all from my DCS remote as well.

It may not be very big ( 2 4x8 sheets is all ) but it has plenty of action and fun!

From the look of your inside "Loop", it appears that you could actually incorporate a couple of reversing loops fairly easily.

Either end of the upper loop track that sort of forms a "Dogbone" appear that they could be extended to intersect with the upper track of your inside loop. It also appears the the "Stub" siding coming off the lower left of the interior loop could also extend to create the second reversing loop. 2 reversing loops would add a ton of operating options.

Just a thought, don't know if it would all fit OK, but worth taking a look at in my opinion.
