As I promised, there is now a direct connect option for the YLB for any RailSounds Lite board. These are the boards used in most Legacy locomotives of recent manufacture. This differs from the original YLB only in that it offers a direct connection to the RS-Lite board instead of the 9V battery clip. Most new Legacy ships without the battery cable.  The new connection option solve the missing cable issue for those wishing to add a battery.

I will need a handful of these. I am not very talented when it comes to electronics so I was curious.  Where, on which board, the YLB would be plugged into?

The railsounds board.  If it's a steamer it would be in the tender.   This is for the Latest Legacy engines which no longer come with the 9 volt battery cable as GRJ stated above

They also work with ERR's RailSounds Commander boards, which last I knew, still come with the 9v battery cable. Still, GRJ's update is cleaner.

The ERR RS Manual shows where the battery cable attaches on their boards, which I imagine are similar in appearance to the Legacy RS boards, no?
