Hello Everyone, while running my new Lionel Vision Line Triplex, I decided to run my MTH Triplex also. I’m really enjoying both of them however I discovered that my MTH front marker lights aren’t on. I tried all of the buttons on the MTH handheld to turn the lights on but they haven’t gone on yet. Can I get some assistance here please, Thanks

Try an engine reset

I did that twice !!
@marshelangelo I am having the same issue on my Premier Camelback. Both class lights went dark. The rear marker light on the tender still works. I checked the wiring inside and that all looked fine. Tried turning on the class lights with the remote soft keys. I did both feature and factory resets multiple times and nothing has worked. I did notice that before the lights went out, they were pulsating along with the smoke unit fan. So I don't know if the bulbs burned out or it's a board issue.
I know this doesn't help you but just wanted to provide a list of what I tried and maybe it can provide somebody else with a suggestion.

@NJCJOE. To eliminate one possible issue, since there seems to be a connection, does the smoke unit still work normally? From your wording, it looks like yes, but just to be sure.
PS-3 versus PS-2 is going to matter. PS-2 uses a MUX for markers so you can have bad LEDs, bad harness connection or failed component on mux. PS-3 boiler has all the outputs driven by the PS-3 boards. So turning on and off markers turns both sets off like a diesel. G
My version is a PS3, and the rear fender marker lights are on and the stack smoke is operational also. I checked the menu on the remote and there isn’t a function for marker lights to turn on and off. I’ve reset factory and feature and the results are still the same. I guess it’s a case of Que Sera Sera.
My Camelback is PS3 as well.
i know on the mth app there is a marker light on/ off option. not sure if you need the paid app version or not, or even if you have the mth dcs wifi.
You may be confusing the "marker lights", on the rear of the tender, with the "class lights" on the front of the engine. There are no "marker lights" on the front, as they are "class lights".

I tried toggling mine with the DCS remote with no response. MTH calls the class lights "maker lights" in the remote.
Try a conventional reset. If that does not work most likely a wiring issue, broken solder joint at molex plug or bad wire. You can test the front marker LEDs in the rear unit to test that they work or with an LED tester. G
I haven’t used my MTH APP on my iPad lately but I think there is an option for marker lights. I’ll have to further investigate. Thanks everyone for your participation.

Please remember; the "marker lights" on on the rear of the tender, while the "class lights" are on the front. Thus, you should be looking for "class lights".
MTH data does not distinguish items that way, not sure Lionel does either especially since many Lio engine power them from track power.
LMK would turn both front and rear off except for steam with MUX boards. G
