Hi,

My granddaughter got Ozobot for Christmas. She would draw on paper routes in several different colors with marker pens. She would then put a very small robot (reminded me of pacman) on a route which the robot would follow. The color of a route could effect the action of the robot (sorry, I don't know all what the possible actions are). Anyway, it made me wonder if someday such a system could be developed for model trains.

Take care,

Dick

They have sold model cars for layouts that will follow a drawn line or an embedded wire for many years. The system is made by Faller of Germany. The wire can be on a tape and you paint a highway over it. www.faller.de They have all sorts of vehicles and you can make them run anywhere. It's called the "Faller digital car system". The illustration shows remotely controlled model  bus's  and a truck running on a model layout.
