I watched the episode and except for 20 seconds at the beginning, there was no pictures or description of the collection! Just Rick reacting surprised at the ask of $150,000. What a waste of time!
It was an entertaining episode; best part was the restoration of an old Fender Bass guitar. The two guys that had the collection first appeared in the show when they brought in an old erector set for the Pawn Stars to look it (they purchased it). I think they were brothers, they then invited Rick and Chumlee out to look at a model train collection. I think the brothers' father had passed and they were wanting to sell the collection. It was housed in a separate outbuilding, at what looked to be a nice home. A lot of circus stuff, one old real steam engine. Nothing that I would have been interested in. The brother's wanted $150k. That was a solid "no" from the Pawn Stars. There was no inventory, so that was going to take time and effort to do, then sell each item was going to take a lot of effort. They suggested that the brothers would be better off doing that work themselves if they wanted to get close to the overall value. I thought it was decent advice. I am also thankful that I have done the work to put an inventory together. I felt bad for the brothers, because it looked like a lot of stuff, and they had not much knowledge on what was what on the shelves.
I have always liked the show, which is part educational.
