I have been making ties today and now I have only a few more sections to go. I decided to not use the 2 half straight sections and stick with a circle. Since the base is round, the edge of the track looks nicer being parallel to the edge IMO...
I also decided on adding 10 additional ties per section of track, it really makes the 027 look alot nicer!
