Can I post a video from my iPhone. I try but it never works.

C'mon Rod, you have to give me more than this. What you told me is like going to the doctor and telling him you, "Don't feel good." and expecting him to cure you.
SPECIFICALLY what happens? Do you see any error messages? I need the details.
I do all the time on my I phone, and I'm about as hitech as a watermelon. Press reply, you have to put some text (words) in first or it will say a value is required, maybe this is what you are missing, then press add attachments, then find the video on your phone library, press choose, wait a few, when it's done loading, press finish, press add all images and videos into post body, the small box, press collapse attachment box because it is unnecessary to have it, press post reply. Try that. Good luck.
I've noticed if the video is over 40 seconds +- it won't download as it is over the max MB allowed. Otherwise it works for me as well.
Yes , that is true, at first it was 30 seconds or the file was too big or something. I think a week or so ago I went 45 seconds and it worked but I didn't push it any further than that. Again, you need to put something in writing before you try to attach a video or it will say a value is required and won't work. Say cheers if you're not talkative, anything.
Hey Kenny, I'm a Kenney, you need to buy a vowel haha.

Ok Rich, you got me. 😂
I created a small video from my iPhone and it goes to my photos just like pictures do. When I try to create a post or a response to a post and then go to add attachments the video comes up black. Photos add perfectly but not videos. Hope this makes sense.
Thank William and Dan. I think you’ve nailed it. I’ve never put something in writing first. If you see a video from me you can feel proud.👍

Everyone is always trying to add that E and are surprised when I tell them it is'nt there.
When you first load the video it won't show, it will say still loading on your post or something close to that. You need to go back to the main menu and when you go back to check it out it will usually be loaded by then. Anyway, sounds like you got it. That is probably the first and last time I could ever be of any assistance to anything to do with modern technology. Fire away.
Kenny - I get just the opposite, I always have to emphasize the 2nd e when I spell it out loud. I have said many times it is an easy name to spell but it gets misspelled more often than not. Sometimes I say think Kennedy and lose the d just to make it easier.
Cheers, W1

I think you may have the answer. Add some text first, then upload the video.
Now…when you successfully post a video, post a link to it here.
Thank you everyone. I’ll be trying a video soon.
Also, don't forget...:

This is on older video taken vertically not horizontally. Using the suggestions above here we go. OK, thanks for your help. Yes, I will go horizontal.

For what it’s worth, it came out fine. Glad you figured it out.
Rod;
I’m a little late to this thread… did you recently get a new phone??? I ask because, when I recently upgraded my iPhone from a 5 to a 13, pics still post fine, but videos don’t. When I use my new phone, the video still goes to my Pictures folder, but there is a small indicator in the upper left hand corner that says HDR - those videos will not play on the forum (for me or anyone else).
Change the video setting on your phone. It may default to 4K video, which is far more video than anyone needs.
If you can change the video setting, change it to shoot standard HD (1920 x 1080 frame size) and your videos will be OK.

Thanks Rich. I’ll look for the video setting tomorrow.
Didn’t Rich once give a bow from U tube? Something about embedding? Thanks
