I have let my layout for dormant for the past few months, busy with work, family etc...

But... I found a few moments today, to play with a new tool.

my layout has quite a number of accessories, and some old tubular track mixed in with Fastrack

While this worked on paper, it looked horrible.  than I lost interest.

but... With my new little 'Rockwell, an upside down jigsaw', new life was born.

i took a piece of 10" straight and cut each side down, so that it fits in the space of the tubular, but stays

Fastrack.  No height changes, no adapter pieces.  I'm very happy.

Here are some pics.

Here is a pic of the new tool.  Its called the Rockwell Bladerunner x2.

Its a glorified upside jigsaw, with a miter gauge and fence.  There is another arm that is missing from the pic, I had to take that off so that I could run the FT through all the way.  I need to cut at least one, maybe two of the 30" straights, that will be fun.

LionelRookie1992,

Man this is a great find, please tell me where I can purchase this piece of equipment for the best cost. My layout is FasTrack also, this is great stuff.  I found your Blade Runner X2 on line for $119.00 and from the looks of if it, the saw even has the ability to cut curved FasTrack, what a serious piece of equipment, this also means we now have the ability to cut FT in any size custom pieces we want, by removing the pins, cutting to exacting size, and reinstalling the pins.  Thanks for posting this thread.
