Prototypical or Not | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I am at the point on my layout where I am starting to think about where I need to install trackside signals and a signal bridge. I have to admit the track design was created for me and because of this I did not thoroughly plan out industries, towns, etc. until after the track was laid. Now it's an after thought to make the layout make sense and be purposeful.

With that being said, I have a 6 track yard and I have started to install a two track signal bridge over two of the tracks in the yard. Is this prototypical? If not, please share some ideas of how I can be more prototypical with signals in the yard. I have a two track mainline on the lower level of the layout that enter and exit the yard.

Dave, I believe your signal bridge would be more at home over your 2 track mainline.
