Hi,

I'm building some old Walthers and American Standard Car Company heavyweight car kits. I have been using Tru-Color TCP 4017 Pullman Green, but I ran out and can't find it in stock anywhere. Does anyone have a suggestion for Pullman Green in a rattle can? I've heard that Tamiya TS-28 Olive Drab is close but I wanted to get some more opinons.

I tried it and thought it was a little too light, although from everything I've read there as a lot of variation in the real pullman green colors.  I used Tamiya Nato Black on a Walthers coach.  It might be a little dark, but ti looked pretty close to some pictures I've seen of freshly painted cars.

I don't have a go-to rattle can for Pullman Green, if I run out of Tru-color or Scale Coat ( which I buy from estate sales) I'll load up on those same military colors Olive Drab, RAF Green, and Flat Black and mix and test (until fully cured/dried) till I get what I want. Then mix up the big batch and blow it all on at the same time.  If you already have some cars you are trying to match, then at least you'll have the comparison color to mix too and test.

I have the same issue, so called the Tru Color people and they said not only is their Pullman green spray can out of stock, they are discontinuing all spray colors as they cannot find a supplier that will do them in the small quantities they deal with.  So, I am off today to a Sherman Williams paint store with a car to color match to have them do a can for me.  Am hoping.

I got the same response from them. I'm planning on using an auto body shop to match it. In case you need it, the RGB code is 46 39 29 and the hexcode is 2E271D.
