I am looking at a plan 15 x 8 with all curves O72 or greater- except in the yard I will need one half circle of O64. Can I run a Lionel Challenger and a Williams Niagara through that tight of a curve?

Engines are rated for the curves that they may negotiate. My guess is yes these would make it. My recommendation is don't do it. Large long engines on tight curves look awkward and unrealistic. With so many great smaller engines and equipment available, why buy too long equipment on too sharp curves?
Already have the engines. The curve would be in the yard. Just have to get the engines to their storage spots.
The LionMaster Challenger will be ok and the Niagara will. The scale Challenger may bind. Both are listed at minimum O72 except for the LionMaster.
best bet is to set up a test circle and try it.
The Challenger may make it but the Williams Niagara might not because of the centipede tender. The tender is not as forgiving as the Lionel one would be on curves.........Paul
Thanks guys.
You can do anything you want with Gargraves flex track. Note the large compass with the green pen.
O 68 is a tight bend, but it can be done.
I can do O66 but that is it.
and keep my 6 inch separation, that is.
