Looking at an NW2 switcher from 2018, stock 685063. It's Lionchief + (not + 2.0). Will this still integrate and work with
Cab 3 in Base 3 mode, or will this function only in the bluetooth mode?

Yes it will. You will have to program it in Base3 as a Bluetooth engine using the PGM/RUN Bluetooth procedure. You'll be able to run it from Cab1L, Cab2, and Cab3 App.

I looked this locomotive up on the Lionel website and see no mention of Bluetooth compatibility. I don't believe all LC+ locos are necessarily BT compatible, but open to correction if I'm wrong.

According to the Lionel Website description it has Bluetooth.

I had to read it a couple times. Usually they have the BT logo.
