Hi I plan on going out to Pennsylvania to see my pappy Jim and we are building a layout and I had an idea I could have the main place and have a spare track and have like a diesel train you could get your cargo and then head off think that is a good idea.

Hi Mike, I think you question is having a circle of track with a siding to store a freight train. Always more fun to incorporate a siding or two in a layout.
