I just bought the MTH-40-1101 Single Track Steel Bridge. I have the Lionel elevated Trestle set that I was intending to use with the bridge. The trestles raise to a height of 5 1/2 inches whereas the bridge with the enclosed piers is a height of 6 1/2 inches.  In the bridge instructions they have a piece that says can be used with Lionel trestle as opposed to using the enclosed bridge pier. Looking at this piece I cannot see how it adapts to Lionel. Open for suggestions??

I either have to jury rig shims to raise the Lionel trestles or need to buy the MTH  elevated piers.

Interesting I also have a bridge by Lionel where the bridge piers measure only 5 inches. Seems there should be some consistency to these elevated parts. Especially when using two products from Lionel.
