While running my Railking PS2 Decapod yesterday with my DCS remote set at a scale 55mph, all of a sudden the engine took off up to maximum speed. After hitting emergency stop and checking things out, I found that the speed sensor tape that is wrapped around the flywheel came apart in pieces and is totally unusable. Does anybody know if MTH has replacement speed sensor tape available or do you have to buy the whole flywheel assembly? Thanks for your help.

You can print a tape on your Laser printer. Print the attached file at 100% size on gummed label stock and cut out the appropriate sized label for your flywheel.

Since I only have an HP Inkjet printer, can I print it out on regular paper and glue it to the flywheel?
You can, I've never tried gluing it, but I can't see why it won't work like gummed labels. Just don't put any tape over it, that seems to screw up the sensor reading the bars.
Thanks, I'll try it. It's always something with these engines, there like used cars.
MTH does sell the tapes individually also. You can buy the 27mm, or 30mm, or the sheet that comes in the Upgrade kit. I have them if you need them, just need the diameter of your flywheel. G
