Is it ok to use rechargeable batteries in the handheld?
Some electronics say not to use them.

I use nothing but rechargeable batteries in my remotes and always have. No problems here.

Been using them for years. Look into the NiMH's that can be recharged in under a half-hour. I have 3 remotes (grandkids like to run at same time), so I keep an extra set charged up.
I too use nothing but NiMHs. BUT... one thing I found, especially with cheaper rechargables, is that they MAY not be the same size as regular AAA batteries. I had to not use one of the sets that I bought because they just wouldn't make consistently good contact.
I didn't want to play with changing the springs, etc. inside the remote so I just quit using them in favor of a better quality brand.
Don't know how common this might be. I now have 3 good sets of AAA rechargables for me 2 remotes and they have never caused me a problem, once that I added extra padding to my original remote's door on the inside (A well known problem with the older remotes).
