I would appreciate some recommendations for HO sidewalks for the area described below.

I am using forced perspective on an area that meets up with the backdrop.  That area is a street scene with 6 houses, a street that runs parallel and an intersection.  The homes were all built in the 1930s-1940s (best estimate) and by the time being modeled (1952-55) might be showing a bit of wear.  Here are some recent views of the area courtesy of Google and a forum member.

I’ve used the O versions from  www.crowriverproducts.com    They also make HO versions. I like them because they offer curved sections for corners as well as driveway sections. They are made out of resin and have joints and a few cracks molded in.

DUH!  I have their O scale sidewalks (very nice), but didn't think of their HO stuff (slaps forehead).

Thanks!

George

With all we spend money on. O am a big believer in do-it-yourself for something as simple as a side walk. Walks can be styrene or I would just use some card of the right thickness. Curbs can be stripwood, slightly rounded and roughed up with a file. The major part of the appearance, aside from the slightly elevated curb, will be how well you paint and edge it.

I like the idea of some forced perspective on your O scale layout and look forward to seeing the results.

Great point, and something I've done myself before.   That looks like a bunch of shrink-wrapped rulers painted gray, but they are sidewalks.  And I have a thread from 2013 on the subject somewhere on OGR.
