Based on my experience described above, I'm inclined to agree with both GRJ & Oman. I have never heard of any detailed study & analysis of what happens upon failure of battery/supercap power at each split second stage of the shutdown or reset process.

Could be.
I think that maybe it was on the remote,and did not get erased,and when I isolated it like that,it recovered the engine .I'm new to this,so it's just a guess.Marty,please contact me through my e-mail.I need to speak with you ASAP.Let me know if I can call you tomorrow.Thanks.

That's a new feature that was introduced with DCS 4.30.
If you attempt to add an engine that's already in the remote, after the "Engine in Remote" message is displayed that engine is automatically selected and displayed, and becomes the Active Engine.
