I am building my next layout.
I have a foot print of approx. 4'x18'
Run conventional & a double loop fast track
I can put in 2 reverse loops but since I am not going to be using it as part of the normal run I am leaning towards only one.
One with 36 turnouts without the 1/4 track will give me a lot of interior room for a freight consists.
goal is to get as much of my collection on the table as possible!
any thoughts ideas or questions would be welcomed.

Just my personal opinion, but I'm of the belief there's little benefit to just 1 reverse loop. With just 1, once you make the reverse, you're stuck going in one direction. If you're going to reverse, go with the double, otherwise save the switch & space and don't bother.
As noted I did two cross overs so that you could get back.
Lower left is the cross over.
This cross over reverses direction the second time back to the original.
