tstark,

I do not know how well they will match your track but the original K-Line SS

switches were some of the very finest ever built, the RMT are suppose to be very high quality also.  Nobody that I know of has said anything negative about these RMT Super Snap Switches.  In fact I may purchase a few of them for my new FasTrack Layout, just because they are low voltage and have a great reputation.

I've used a bunch of these switches in both the 031 and 072 curves. They are good switches and better than the Lionel tubular switches. There are problems with dead spots with the short inter roller distance engines. Also, there is some shorting by quite a few of my engines on many of the switches where the roller can contact the center rail and touch the ground rail while going through the switch. This is fairly easily taken care of with some observation of the engine going through the switch, looking for a small spark, and some black electrical tape. I use these switches because thay match the SuperSnap track that I use. I have not heard too much about the Ross Tinplate switches but if I were to do it again, I think I would take a chance on the Ross Tubular switches.

Hi tstark! I have used the snap trac switches and really liked them compared to numerous Lionel switches. I recently started a new layout and went to the local hobby store to purchase more Snap Trac switche and was told K-line no longer around and unless you find some in stock as leftovers or Ebay you may have a hard time finding them. As luck would have it, I was surfing the web and found that Aristo (RMT) was carrying the Snap Trac. I am geting ready to purchase several to add to what I have. Well made and work well, and the price is right.  Good Luck
