If I were to order a set, I'd want both powered, with a B unit that didn't have to have motors, but did have smoke and sounds.  Will there also be matching passenger cars?  As much as I love the look of these, and want a set, I wouldn't pull the trigger unless I was getting an A-B-A set with at least 7-8 matching passenger cars.

Yes we are going to do a set of matching Passenger cars and freight cars. We are going to produce these engines as follows. Your choice below.

A-A Both Powered

A-A one Powered and one Dummy

B-unit Non Powered

Matching Bay Window caboose

We are going to follow up these engines with a set of matching Box cars and then the Passenger cars.

Thanks

Oh, no.  You're killing me too.  I've always loved the SF F-3's and have five of them.  I also just added two more levels with scratch built bridges and improvised ramps that I painted in the SF color scheme.  BTW, my four main lines are all 35' long through three narrow rooms, but, I still wouldn't need both A units powered.

Now, how are we supposed to resist these gorgeous trains???   Matching boxcars and passenger cars?  Go PatsTrains.

Thanks, and keep us posted.  Can't wait.

Jerry

Great choice for a set and you are killing me too. Just when I thought I was caught up on train purchases...

Not sure I would be in for a set as I currently have no passenger trains and was not planning on having any for at least a couple more years. Layout is just not yet ready for them and there is quite a lot left to go on it before it will be ready. However, if I was getting a set, I think I would prefer the A-B-A set with both A units powered. Smoke in the dummy B unit would also be really nice to have.

The matching freight and passenger car sets are the frosting on the cake and another excellent choice to round out this offering, as is the caboose. I won't commit to an order, but this set is very tempting and I will be watching.
