SCARM - FasTrack turn-outs & 1 3/8" pieces | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I'm throughly confusing myself...

When using SCARM, do the fastrack switches include the 1 3/8 fitter pieces? Or do you have to add them?

When I'm trying to re-create plans I find on-line, it seems like sometimes I need to add the 1 3/8" pieces - and other times I don't.

Super confused...

I add the pieces, the wye I have uses x2 no roadbed.

You need to add the 1-3/8" pieces in SCARM. I normally use the half roadbed ones since that is what comes with the turnout and it keeps the parts inventory accurate.

Yes, add what you will actually use - the half-road bed fills the end for a typical joint - the no roadbed is for joining two switches turn-out to turn-out

The RED are 1 3/8" -all half roadbed except for the center of the straight- The Lionel Plan straight is short between the switches -corrected below

I thought that was the case. But all these plans I find, that don't quite fit when done in SCARM, really make things confusing...
