That is one of the only places left in the east where you can ride an all day excursion behind steam in open window coaches to boot. There is Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and TVRM in the south with longer steam excursions. Steamtown has long excursions into the Poconos but with diesel right now. And 2102 is doing more excursions this year including the ones from Nesquehoning to Tunkhannock and Pittston.
