Speed issue running mth ps2 engines with lionel cab1L

The TPC's have three speed step options: 80 steps, 200 steps and 400 steps. If you have it in 400 or even 200 steps it will take a lot of spinning of the red dial to get the engine to move at a good clip. 

To get it to 80 steps address the TPC with it's address then press AUX2 and then the L button on the bottom of the remote. 

I think I have it on 80 but I will double check. Much thanks for your reply.
