Now that MTH has closed, does anyone know what happened to all the great Standard Gauge tooling?
I hope it was not lost. Does anyone think anyone will produce more standard gauge trains in the future?

Rumor is it is still under the control of Mike Wolf/MTH. But that is rumor. No one knows the truth except MW/MTH. If the tooling is gone, it's unlikely we'll see any standard gauge trains soon. If it's available, always possible someone will pay to have it used. Sorry not to be definitive, but things are obviously in flux, and no one is talking

MTH still has stock on certain standard gauge parts, but not on others (like bild a loco motors). "Lifetime supply" on some (I'll have to find out which ones).
I'll continue to build new Daylights, Challengers, Hudsons, GG1's, McKeen cars, Zephyr sets, streamlined passenger cars and soon, F7 diesels and PRR T1 as long as I have parts and my local suppliers.
