I understand someone on the OGR Forum may have tried putting a Railking doodlebug shell on the new Lionel doodlebug that uses former MTH tooling, and there was some difficulty, Hoping to do the same, and learn what the challenge was so I can decide about buying the Lionel to do that. Thanks for any replies with experience.

Photos of shells look like with minimal parts removal from MTH shell, and sacrificing smoke unit from Lionel chassis, should go together. In case MTH incandescent headlights must be used, curious what voltage those are if someone knows for Proto1 unit. Lionel left, MTH right.
Since the Lionel chassis will be using LED's, they supply a current limited voltage specifically to drive LED's. You'll need to swap out the MTH bulbs.
