Hi all,

I finally got done with this nice train, I took it all apart and cleaned it all out, I just love the way everything just come out for cleaning it just

amazes me. There still a little cleaning here and there, but I replaced the Boiler cover and painted it and the Steamchest as well with Krylon

Gloss black paint and it matched real well. polished and cleaned the boiler to a nice shine, relubed all moving parts and it really runs great,

when it went around the 042 curves it had a bit of trouble but the wheels were off a little and use my vise to get them back in line and clean

and polish the tracks better and now it fly's around the track. But to be honest I never liked the standard gauge stuff I always saw those

bright colors and went na!, but one day at a show I saw this beat up Lionel 318 and I liked it and took it home and that was it. Oh Still have to

get another tender or replacement tender cover mines warped, but doesn't look to bad.

I've always preferred the 1835E to the 385E...something about the all black color... and the poportions of this loco just make it a real knockout. Good job on this one! My 1835E is shown in this video from the Standard gauge module Association display in 2010.

Thanks jim, and your video is great, have you been to Edison NJ I've seen

a Standard gauge set-up there as well.
