Over the holidays someone went into my train room and moved the layout a couple of inches closer to the wall! No small feat!
I can barely squeeze between the back of the layout and the wall now!
I accused my wife... but she just laughed at me.

Too much party food?
Do your pants feel any tighter? Usually when my layout gets moved, that same person steals all my pants out of my closet and replaces them with a size smaller.
Stop eating those Christmas treats and in a few months the layout will move itself. LOL
Don’t blame the layout, just start pushing away from the dinner table a little sooner. Or maybe you could convince your friends that a minor earthquake occurred under your home and moved your layout, LOL!!!
Have a happy new year, Jim
Maybe you had a flood and the board expanded from the water........
I don't have to worry about this, my layout is only accessible from the front.
It happens to me too. Every year, by the end of December I have to move the seat, in my truck back a notch.....LOL
Too many of those Christmas cookies! I could never be a cook, I sample too much of the product!
Did you spill any of that Lionel Fastrack expander paste on the layout table or on yourself? If you are not familiar with that product, just ask Mike Reagan.
This was my first holiday season in awhile that I didn’t somehow “find” a few pounds. I’ve been walking two miles every day for months except for the past five days. Been fighting some upper respiratory crud that keeps shifting between my head and chest. 🤧

Don't worry …. once the spring comes and you start doing yardwork and playing golf the layout will miraculously move back away from the wall - at least it does for me.
