TIU Locking up and flashing

I pulled my dsc system (rev. L) back out after being stored for 6 months after having to tear down my layout to move. It worked perfectly before but now i am having issues. I tried resets for both the remote and the tiu both factory and feature. I was finally able to find and add an engine i can send one command to the engine and anything after that first command locks up the remote and the light on the tiu flashes continuously. I am on version 4.20. It happens on all channels and the power to the track remains on when the remote/tiu locks up.

Yikes! Not good. I don't have the new L tiu just yet but the tiu flashing continuously doesn't sound like a good thing. There were some issues with earlier tiu .... Some of the binding posts worked loose on the inside of the tiu which created heat and I suppose interment operations. If you're handy, take it apart carefully (6 screws on the bottom) and check out the posts. Be careful to not disturb the transceiver board.

And as Mike wanted to know..how are powering things? maybe that's part or all of the problem.
