I tried several variations of this topic in search and nothing came back, but I am sure it is out there somewhere. In a desire to get a couple of TMCC locos I have acquired over the years to do their thing sound wise, I have taken the trip to the dark side after being a died in the wool ZW man, and was fortunate to find a like new TMCC control from a posting here, and the fellow was even in my own state. After reading up on whats what, hooked it up and is working great, but wanted to try what it said in the manual about older Lionel running concurrent with a TMCC unit. With a loop of track on the floor it all worked great, nothing like my NOS 1997 vintage GP9's I recently picked up, chasing my 1957 2-6-4 Adriatic. But sparking at the commutator of the 1957 loco is causing static in the TMCC audio, just like auto ignition in a CB radio. Is bypassing the brush connections with ceramic caps, maybe .01uf, the answer?
