What tools are typically used to cut Ross Track? I have a Dremel w/attachments and I'm considering a 6" chop saw. What do you guys recommend??

Dremel, right angle attachemwnt, gyros 2.5” wheel.
I use a Dremel with the cutoff wheel attachment and flex shaft. You may also want to use safety goggles as a precaution as I have had cutoff disks shatter during use.
You need this:
3 inch Reinforced Cutting Disks Pack of 3
and this:
Mandrel 1/4 inch Screw and 1/8 inch Shaft

Believe me it will save you lot of frustrations using the bigger wheel. The cuts will be cleaner, more accurate and you will find more uses for your Dremel with it.

Agree...Dremel, 2"-3" reinforced discs + mandrel, flex shaft attachment helps, ....
But, most importantly, SAFETY GLASSES w/SHIELDS!!
Gargraves: p/n 83985, Gyros 1/8" Mandrel, p/n 93108, 2" Gyros reinforced cutoff discs (2).
I must have made 50+ cuts using one of the discs. Still going strong. Spare may never be used!
Flexshaft attachment is lighter in weight, smaller in diameter...both of which give you excellent control for a 90º cut angle. Minimal touchup of burrs with a jewelers file.
I used a 6" chop saw for most of my cut on my layout, and when I had to work on-site with track down, I used my Dremel with cut-off disks.
Bought it on sale for $30 at Harbor Freight a couple years ago. It worked great and made quick work out of making even cuts on my Gargraves Flex Track as well as Ross sectional track.

I use what Scott Smith suggested. Works great. A small file cleans up any rough edges.
I got tired of having to file the cuts flat after using a Dremel cutting wheel. Could never come down straight to leave a 90 degree cut. I found a 6 inch fine blade hobby saw does just fine. I clamp the rails on both sides to prevent individual rails from moving. If I had a lot to cut, the chop saw above would be my go to.
I also do what Scott Smith suggests.
I am intrigued by Gunrunnerjohn’s 6” chop saw but I can’t tell whether it’s powered or not. In either case a shout out is due to him for always providing insightful advice. Thank you!

It's certainly powered!
