Hands down the most accurate tie size and spacing is Fastrack. Everything else has exaggerated tie size with spacing [too wide] to match. Atlas, Realtrax, Scaletrax, Ross, Gargraves are all [to me] glaringly incorrect.
Rail height same thing. Fastrack and Scaletrax are closest to prototype with Ross, Gargraves, Realtrax and Atlas wayyy to high.
Bear in mind though that appearance is in the eye of the beholder. ALL model railroading is caricature to a greater or lesser extent. The longest model railroad in the world doesn't come close to a modest shortline. While Kadee couplers are indeed more scale-like they are still much larger than the prototype and the knuckle-action is actually LESS prototypical than Lionel-style [so called by detractors] "claw" couplers. Some folks hate the non-prototype appearance of truck mounted pilots and couplers while others (me) welcome the ability to couple close to sharp curves and we thus "overlook" the swinging dis-attached pilot.
