Tomorrow is the TCA show in western Pa. in cranberry and can't wait !!  What fun !!  Don't have a lot of $$ to spend but will walk around a lot looking for bargains and neat stuff -cheap. After perusing the table tops then the real fun begins-checking under the tables in the junk boxes and looking for dirty, forgotten items that dealers want to unload. Have picked up some bargains like a Lionel 671 with no tender, a nice running  1688 and a streamlined Marx. My collection is mostly rescue and rehabbed engines and cars I have picked up at shows and antique stores. A lot of them just needed a good cleaning(electronic cleaner works wonders) and a nice lube job. Good time in a great hobby.

Nice show, as usual but didn't seem to be as many dealers or people there. a lack of parts sellers was a disappointment. Close to noon the dealers were starting to cut some prices so I picked up a couple of "bargains".  Bought  dirty, scroungy looking Lionel 1666 as a project to work on and got it running today but needs E unit work. It is amazing though the amount of things available in the hobby but finally realized I can't buy it all. The ext show will be better plus there is a Greenberg show in early Nov.

I have not been to A train show in many years and I had A very good time meeting and talking to fellow model railroaders and some of the venders. Thanks to everyone that took time out of their day to chat I don't get to see or meet many new people. The things I was looking for were not for sale at this show and I was planning on going to York but talking with people at the show I can order the stuff from Ross and have it shipped cheaper than turn pike tolls, gas and entry fees at York so I don't think I'm going to go. I picked up some URR cars, some soda pop and candy bar boxcars for two trains I am putting together. I saw A Hershey's steam engine that I wanted to get but went and bought other things and forgot to go back and get the engine. Well I did not get what I went for but I did get some stuff I can use in the future. Again thanks to everyone for A great time and good conversation and Take care. P.S. If I ran over any ones feet with my wheelchair SORRY. Choo Choo Kenny

Jim and Kenny,

Thank you for the good report.

Jim,

How about that, I live near Butler too; almost in Butler.  Maybe we could get together.  My e-mail address is in my Forum profile.
