For anyone in the forum interested in an elevated layout I have attached drawings of two simple trestle designs. The kids and I wanted an elevated layout and explored various types of trestles. Mth appears to have the most attractive trestles with a stone facade, but it does tend to get pricey. We decide to build our own and use those funds on other train accessories - like more engines. The layout is still under construction, I will post some pictures at a later time when I have cleaned the table up and put the engines back on. Keep in mind these are not the best but we happy with them. The material used was pine, tools used: table saw, drill, and scroll saw.
