Been a while since I last operated my trains.I have a tmcc berkshire 508 the remote seems not to no longer work.So I replaced the batterys in the remote.Still nothing checked the manual. So I thought I would come here and ask for help. The base has power. The green light is on but when I press the button on the remote.Nothing happens I the past I press a button a red light comes on.I do not think their is anything wrong with the locomotive. It will run just in conventional.Could be something wrong with the base.I just can not get red light to show up on the base.Any help I will be very greateful.

I'm not overly familiar with the Cab1L and Base1L but could it be possible they are not on the same channel?
If Martys suggestion doesn't help.
I recall an issue with the 1l bases failing when they first came out. I can't locate the thread.
You may want to contact Lionel. I would think they would stand behind it like they do with the 990.

Thanks MartyE I have just recall something.Beside not operating my trains for a while.I was sick in the hospital for a bit.I went back and checked the manual. And saw you should remove the battery from the remote. If not in use for a time.Well I think I made a mess.Looks like I may have to get another remote.Well I need to clean the tracks again anyway. But do not stop keep em coming.
Well fellows I gonna quit while I am ahead.I have tired and tried but I can not get it to work.I will take the locomotive and cab 1 ether to the lionel store of ;little choo choo.I never had a problem like this before. It was working pretty good the last time.Come back and this happens.I got one last thing to do and that is clean the tracks.I do not know if dirty track can cause this thou.
The battery warning is more likely to do with the chance of them leaking and damaging the remote.
let us know what you find out.
Unless the batteries leaked, just take them out and put fresh ones in.
Just so we have a solution attached to this thread, it was a channel issue.
