Anyone have any luck with the Lionel 375 turntable? I have 2 that I was able to make into one complete turntable, minus the screws which were easily available at the hardware store. I have thought about trying to build one using an old record player but getting power to the tracks where the engines sit seems to be a bit of a sticking point. I use the traditional o gauge tubular track. Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas. Seems like all the places I have looked to buy one don't sell them unless they are ho or n gauge. Thanks, I always enjoy the great help and opinions that could from this site.

The old 50's-60's Lionel planning books always have plans for building turntables from scratch. WWII-era issues of Model Railroader had some useful stuff also. And don't forget Ellison's book on his Delta Lines road. I even saw one plan that suggested using a 1/4 inch phone plug (as you would find on a guitar cord) on the bottom of a round piece of wood, that would "plug in to" a 1/4 inch phone jack in the center of the turntable pit--an elegant and simple solution for turntable rotation.

Good luck.
