Has anyone used them? How well do they clean? Will they strip paint? Will they damage plastic parts? I have an All Nation F-7 ABA lashup that is truly gunked up and I am trying to resurrect it.

I believe r yoder uses them with success on brass...
I'd like to know what folks are using in their ultrasonic cleaners.
I have a discarded commericial unit. According to a "home" test recommended by one of the manufacturers, it still works properly.
I generally use Simple Green & water as a solvent. It does an OK job, but will not dissolve thick grease.
I found that using a combination of water, Simple Green and vinegar, it will remove most rust. However, this solution will also remove blackening.
The materials I have seen indicate that flammable solvents must not be used.
