Al (and others),

The J&RG is still alive and well.  After my visit from Model Railroader, it took about 3 weeks to reassemble what was removed for the sake of photography.  I decided to create a FaceBook page for the layout and have posted there.  I find it difficult to have to maintain a separate photo account and then transfer from that to here when I can download images directly into other webistes.  Anyway, I will reopen my Flickr account and post something here.

Meanwhile: this is my facebook page for the J&RG: http://www.facebook.com/jim.gore.142  then click on "HOME" to get to the J&RG (among the icons on the left).

Have been in Peru for a while and then starting writing a few things:  An article on cardstock modeling based on my Hickory Clinic will appear in Sn3 Modeler some time in the future.  I am now working on a clinic and article called "Thoughts On Figures and Vehicles on Layouts".  Still looking for somebody to bite on that one.

I get questioned about when the Model Railroader article will be published.  Don't know.  They have already paid for the article, so they own the copyright and can publish anytime they want or not at all.  I have heard that the lag time with MR between acceptance and publication is anywhere from 2 to 5+ years.  So ... I don't think I will hold my breath.  Indeed, if it is more than 2 years, the current J&RG will be gone and I will be creating a new one in a new location.

Jim
