What size screws for Kadee #740 couplers and MTH Premier loco?

I order all my screws from Micro Fasteners, out of New Jersey.

i think they are 2mm not sure on pitch..if your loco is new check for small bag in the foam packaging..4 screws may be there.

 

Two of my new SD-70's (PS2) came without the screws which I found interesting as the -9's did have them.

 

Kadee sells the "KAD256" which are 2-56 x 1/2". I wonder if those would work?

 

 

2-56 fits in the coupler pocket but most likely if the engine comes with threaded holes they would be M2 x .4.

They should have come with a bag with 4, 2mm screws in it. You can get some 2mm screws or just tap the holes for 2-56 if you have those.
