I down loaded the new MTH  DCS  wifi onto my smart phone and I am able to see my wifi unit, as well as connect to the MTH/DCS network and the wifi unit sees my my Rev L TIU. (The TIU unit and remote unit have been up graded to 5.0). The Wifi unit and TIU Rev L are connected via the two USB ports as directed in my DCS companion.

I am able to run my trains via the remote through the TIU just fine, but when I go into my I phone and try to add an MTH engine all I get is the "Time out" notification even though all connections seem to be good.

Any ideas as what is wrong?

Thanks Matt, I already got both. I will do it in the next couple of days. One of the reasons MTH stated for the new firmware is the "time out issue". I think you hit the nail on the head.

I would of done it tonight but I'm still recuperating from prostate surgery I had in July. I'm still limited on how much I can do without getting sore, but I will post the results here when I do.

later friend.

My son and I did all of the above tonight and it all works just fine. I went onto the MTH web site and down loaded the 1.1, then saved it on my lap top. Then I down loaded the WiFi manual and followed the LUCI instructions.

Everything worked just fine accept I forgot to choose the MTH wifi rather then my home link in my I phone settings. My son Michael was running trains from his phone but my phone read no TIU found. Oh well, such is Mario's world! After a quick change in my settings it's all god now.

Thanks for the help.
