My last two session had a couple of unusual occurrencies. I have three new PS3 Priemer units. UP Challenger, Big Boy, and FEF. My TIU has all the latest upgrades as required for WiFi operation.
About 3 minutes into run time, I attempted to use the quillable whistle along with the steam function of the Big Boy. I lost all control of the engine and the whistle and steam function locked on. I had to use my hand-held remote to perform an emergency shut-down. The emergency shut down wouldn't work on my IPAD. Minus the steam function on the Challenger & FEF, these 2 engines had the same problem. I've reset all three engines and the problem still occurs.
i have a 4000 for power and run a combination of Atlas and Scaletrax. It occurs randomly throughout the layout. I've also noticed that on occasion when just using the handheld, there appears to be a delay in commands being either transmitted or received by the engines on the layout. I generally run anywhere from 5-8 trains at a time no faster than 15-20 scale mph. None of my other engines have the problem.
