Hi everyone, I have a 022 switch and was going to add a 042 switch or 022 switch---same loop, do I put insulating pins on all 3 rails between the 2 switches and does it matter which switch I decide to use, thanks as always Greg

Use only the fiber pins needed for the 022 if using a 042 switch in the layout, the 042 uses no fiber pins and replaces a "O" curve and a straight. A right 042 has 6 steel pins, a left has 3 from the factory. You may need to pull pins from the 042 if it is adjacent to a 022 depending on the arrangement.
If adding a 022, you will need to use fiber pins in their designated places for both switches, so yes, there might be three fiber pins between two 022s depending on the track arrangement.
