Is the reason the Z-Stuff crossing gates are never available because hey do not work?? They have been on B/O since I can remember, with no date of release. Whats up???
Also in tring to activate my crossings I have tried insulated sections, (fastrack) and Itads, he Itad is very unreliable, and the insulated section when I try to to extend it, shuts down while train in block...What am I missing???? Confused!!! Thanks JB

The gates work well. Don't know why they're on back order.
As for insulated control, the entire crossing and approach sections need to be insulated. Otherwise, the crossing will register clear while the train is still in it. We used insulated sections to trigger ours and they worked fine.
We tried to get a pair working at the club last week for about 3 hours. one would work fine, but the second one would stay down. the instructions don't seem to match the product although the correct model number is on the instructions. 2 of our finest electrical guys are on the task, we will see what happens next week.

...And when all else fails, I'd suggest contacting Dennis at Z-Stuff. I've found him to be very responsive and helpful regarding his products.

The Crossing Gates...and Wig-Wags, among a few other shortages...are showing a late-September (28SE13) availability. Sounds like a seatainer is en route...hopefully!

they have had a lot of stuff back ordered for a long time. factory problems was what i was told.
the crossing gates have a very nice realistic action, however i have found them to be fragile electronically. i replaced mine with the wig wags, but have had some problems there, too, and the replacements have been on back order for years.
