 i have a 36 oval with another 48 oval. i need to join them. i do have two parking tracks on 36 one connected through 36 and another 72 switches. i also have a Y 72, but no place to fit yet.

i need  help/ideas to finalyze the plan.  my objective is to have

  • two lines where two trains can run simultaneously with parking for a couple of trains.

it will be great if you folks can provide some ideas. i have attached the track plan. thanks for yur time

That is an excellent plan.  By having the crossovers on opposite sides it give a lot more operational fexibilty in a plan like this.  You can park a train in between xovers and work around it.  And you've got switching opportunities.  

What kind of trains are you running?  Conventional or TMCC.  With TMCC it can be a blast to operate.  You can work 3 trains at once.

this looks like a great plan. can you please attach the rr file as well, that way i will not do any error (as i am not really good at the software)
 
also do you think that the top left inner parking can be extended to meet the inner loop and that way it can work as a reversing loop?

ALso as someone asked, i run only legacy/TMCC. curently i have 3 engines, two are legacy and one is TMCC.
 
with this finally i can park all of them on the same plan and can run two at a time.
