Been working on a new project. Building a new toy train layout using some of my dad’s postwar Lionel track and manual switch and my grandfather’s prewar Marx manual switches. I will be replacing some of the prewar track with new O-27 track. I got the track plan from http://www.thortrains.net/ Its only 3ft by 3ft. The base will be tempered hardboard and pine board sides making a shallow box the track wont be nailed down since I want to be able to take it apart for working. I want it to be able to run my post war scout locomotive and my grandfather's old prewar locomotive with some Lionel cars that were with my grandfather's train set.

Try Ross or Gargraves track.

Thanks, Steve.  I do plan to use the Lionel high-profile track and the Johnson molded

roadbed because I like that 'look'.  I'll be using Ross' new tinplate switches, however,

since I need the reliability.  Haven't heard much new about the Del-Aire air system,

however.  From what I've read, it's a reliable system, but I wonder, are they out of business?  Anybody have input on Del-Aire?  Thanks in advance.
