4 x 8 O gauge layout help

From someone who has an existing 4'x8' layout, I think you may find that you won't be able to utilize all of your accessories due to the lack of space; particularly since you've only shown your 42" curves - unless I'm missing something.  🤔

Since you mentioned noise I would suggest that you consider putting carpet padding under the rails or homasote. Do a search and you will find a lot of good information.

Thank you all for the suggestions. From what I see a good 4 x 8 layout contains at least 2 loops. I like the idea of elevation. I will keep working on my design.

I built a 027 4x8 several years ago. First thing I will say is that it's hard to fit a up and down grade in such a small space. The grades are too steep for anything without magna-traction. I did it, and then undid half of it. A separate upper loop would work of course.

I also planned to install several operating accessories but gave up after I saw how much space many need so plan accordingly.
