We made it down there Saturday to see the BB. The crowd was huge. It was an easy drive until we got about four blocks from it, then traffic came to a standstill and it took over an hour to go those last four blocks. The Mayor locked the city down due to Covid, so no trip through the "Experience the Union Pacific" exhibit car. Picked up a tee shirt and a koozy. There wasn't much UP merchandise available. As a bonus I got to see a New Orleans Public Belt Geep on a track parallel to the road while we were stuck in traffic. There were volunteers from LASTA helping out with various tasks and they passed out BigBoy fans(picture of BB on cardstock with wooden handle) because it was really hot. Kinda disappointed she wasn't under steam to blow the whistle and no runby. All in all still great to see an icon of the rails back in action.
